Most of my mosaic pieces are aquired through friends or family as gifts. Sometimes I collect everyday things to reuse in my mosaics like: broken plates, tile, broken jewelry.
However, for my current project I purchased glass tile on sale at Micheal’s. I want the opportunity to work with flat even pieces this time just to see and feel the difference of premade perfection. How much does differs from the uneven pieces I often work with.
In addition I am also trying new mosaic techniques I have picked up watching mosaic videos. I also hope to correct some of my past mosaic mistakes. Lets see how this goes.
